Leadership means different things to different people around the world, and different things in different situations. For example, it could relate to community leadership, religious leadership, political leadership, and leadership of campaigning groups.
This blog post focuses on the individual leadership relative to Network Marketing Professionals and Small Business Owners.
6 Ways to Become the Best Leader You Can Be
1. Have a Support System.
It’s critical to have a few people you can turn to for guidance, like friends and family. These individuals should be outside of your organization. They should be trustworthy, caring individuals who can provide you with encouragement and positive vibes when needed.
2. Find Balance.
It’s easy to become 100% consumed by your business, whatever your business is. Most people take the plunge and go “all in”, especially when first starting out! Just don’t forget to find balance. Allow yourself some distance between your leadership role and your personal life. Create a flexible schedule that specifically includes your personal time. Find a balance that works for you and hold yourself to it!
If you expect your Team to work hard and produce results, your going to need to lead by example. There is no greater motivation then to see your Uplines down in the trenches working alongside everyone else! By proving your loyalty and commitment to your company, you will not only earn respect but will rub off your hardworking energy to everyone else! Once you have gained the respect of your Team, they are more likely to deliver the results needed for everyone to succeed!
4. Position & Process.
You must know and accept that you won’t become the best Leader in the world, overnight. It will take time of course. Give yourself some time to digest everything you are learning and experiencing. Follow the direction of those who are successful. Do not reinvent the wheel! Ensure that you are only doing what is TTT (Tried, Tested, & True)! This will help you shape the position and processes that best fit both your needs and the needs of your organization.
Building alliances, support networks, and having an accountability partner(s) are necessary to making an outstanding, positive change. Be sure to give praise and credit where it’s due. & Always remember that it is much better to approach a task with a team rather than by yourself. After all, there is no ‘I’ in Team!
6. Positive Attitude.
You want to inspire, motivate, encourage and keep the energy levels up with your Team at all times. Keeping a positive attitude is always the best! It is not only easy but beneficial to learn how to flip a negative into a positive. This ensures your mind is in the right place, so that you can continue to work you Business to the best of your ability.
