I want to tell you about 8 simple things you should give up NOW if your goal is to become happy and successful in life.
It is an open secret – that everybody wants to be happy and of course successful in anything and everything they do.
We all secretely want to drive exotic cars, own the latest technology, and be on the front pages of the bestselling magazines.
Some of us even want to become as rich as Mark Zuckerberg or as powerful as Donald Trump. And, at the core of our desires are mixed emotions about how to quickly become successful without ‘wasting’ time or ‘breaking’ the bank.
To be happy successful in life, you need to give up some ‘bad’ habits.
I’ve complied a list of 8 simple things I think you should give up if you want to be happy and successful in life.
Stop saying you cannot do it. Stop saying you cannot achieve what many people think is impossible to do. Why not give it a try and give yourself the benefit of the doubt, BEFORE you start doubting yourself? We all have the capacity to do amazing things. Just try to let go of all those negative type thoughts and doubtful feelings you have now, and you will be pleased with your performance.
Many people fall into this trap, easily. VERY EASILY! They spend most of time thinking about the ‘negative’ things. To some, life is just too unfair. If you are among such people, you need to find a way to stop thinking this way. It’s very easy. Just make sure you always replace your negative thinking with positive thoughts, and you will be fine.
Nobody is going to ‘eat you alive’ because you failed. As Albert Einstein once said, “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” Failure can help bring out the best in you. So, instead of being afraid to fail, you should learn how to embrace failure. Learning from your mistakes is the best medicine in any career and in life. Can I get an AMEN? 🙂
Nobody is perfect. Stop looking for other people’s mistakes because you want to criticize them. Remember, one day you will be in a leadership position. And what you do to others is what others will do to you. Think before you act and of course before you speak.
Negative thinking and negative self-talk are like brother and sister. However, the latter is more self-destructive. Having said that, it is good to criticize yourself so that you can learn from your mistakes. But excessive self-criticism will not only make you sad (amongst many other emotions), it will also make you less productive.
Many of us are guilty of this. We always have excuses for post-poning what we should have done at a certain time. You need to give this up ASAP, so that you can spend your time wisely and achieve your hopes, dreams, and goals as quickly as you possibly can.
Many people are afraid of becoming successful. I am not quite sure why. But this my friend, is very true. If you are among such people, keep in mind that you need to quit being pessimistic about your capabilities and rise to your highest potential. Not doing this, will leave you in the exact same position that you are currently in. It may also unfortunately set you up for failure.
Like it or not, you cannot satisfy everybody. Trying to please certain people by being ‘fair’ will almost always make you ‘unfair’ to others. It doesn’t sound nice, I know. But it’s the truth. So, if you are guilty of this attitude, keep in mind that you only doing yourself a disservice if you are trying to please everybody.
I hope you enjoyed and found value from this. If so, feel free to drop a comment and share it with your friends and family!
